Le Retreat is located close to where the gently rolling hills of the Poitou Charente meet the southern part of the Loire–Anjou–Touraine National Park. The peaceful environment makes le retreat ideal for individuals, couples and small groups seeking a relaxing holiday or a long weekend break.
The informal atmosphere at le retreat offers space for solitude as well as communal areas for socialising. There are exercise facilities, a saltwater swimming pool, a detoxifying infra–red sauna, bikes for your use and a screening room–library with films and books to keep you entertained. A separate building with its own walled courtyard garden offers rooms for workshops and group activities as well as therapy rooms for massage and facials.
Le Retreat is set in 50 acres of beautiful countryside and there are extensive tracks for walking, cycling and riding through the forest.
We would like your stay at le retreat to be more than a luxury break from routine and aim to provide a tranquil and hospitable environment where you are free to unwind in a way that suits and is flexible to your needs. Timetable, Prices & Special Offers
We have a selection of beautifully converted gites, all decorated to a high standard with the emphasis on comfort and style. High season rates are charged for the months May–October and for Easter, Christmas and New Year. Low season rates are charged for all other months. We are closed in November.
All prices are listed in euros for the entire gite and are payable prior to arrival. There is a cleaning surcharge varying per gite from 30–60 euros. Wood is provided for the woodburners although an additional charge for central heating will be incured during the winter months.
La Porcherie
A detached gite suitable for up to 4 people. La Porcherie has two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms and doors leading onto the private south-facing terrace. It boasts a fully equipped modern kitchen with breakfast area and a dining room with a wood burner for the winter months. The mezzanine living area overlooks the swimming pool.
Please note there are fairly low beams (1.75m) in this gite.

La Grange
A large four bedroom gite suitable for up to 6 people. La Grange has two double bedrooms each with an ensuite shower and bathroom respectively. In addition it has two single bedrooms that share a shower room between them. There is a central fully equipped modern kitchen overlooking the dining area and separate living area with a wood burner for the winter months with french doors leading onto a south-facing terrace overlooking the orchard and pond.
Please note that this gite is on two levels, with a double bedroom with shower room on the ground floor and the other three bedrooms upstairs.

L'Annexe
One double bedroom with a sofa bed facility suitable for up to 4 people. L'Annexe has a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. The upper level has an open plan kitchen, dining and living area offering views over the inner courtyard and into the fields and forest beyond. A sofa bed is provided in the living area for further guests.
Please note that this gite is suitable for a couple or two sharing a double room with the additional double sofa bed offering space for 1-2 people.
