Cookery School Spain - Cooking Courses and Lessons in Seville
Cookery School Spain - Cooking Courses and Lessons in Seville
Finca Alta Cocina’s cookery school offer lessons in Spanish and Mediterranean recipes prepared with fresh local ingredients, some grown in our own garden.
Cookery classes are restricted to a maximum of six people so everyone gets total hands-on experience. If a group of four to six people join us in our cookery school, they can help choose what their classes feature.
Quality and style are the hallmark of Finca Alta Cocina, which is run by chef Ewa and her partner William, who together ran Crispin’s, an acclaimed country restaurant in Essex, for many years.
Finca Alta Cocina has delightful views and is set in six acres – including its own side of a mountain with masses of olive trees, plus some almond, fig and cork oak trees.
You will find wild garlic, wild rosemary and wild fennel on the mountain with many types of wild flowers. After a totally dreamy day of cooking cool off in our 12 x 6-metre pool.
Finca Alta Cocina comprises two buildings – one old, one new. A state of the art kitchen and a roof terrace have been added to the old finca. The new building is a few steps along the terrace, and has five en-suite double rooms – four with their own balcony – and a guest lounge.

Travel
Our country house and cookery school is well served by airports with cheap flights from Britain. Ryanair fly into Jerez (50 minutes away) and Seville (just over an hour). Easyjet fly into Malaga (1½ hours away)…with a car drive through outstanding countryside.Finca Alta Cocina is a few minutes’ drive from the main A382 road just outside Algodonales. The road runs from Jerez to Ronda and is joined shortly before Algodonales by the A376 from Seville.
Although the cookery school is just minutes from the main road, at Finca Alta Cocina you are in another, most tranquil world. The only traffic hold ups you may encounter on the farm road to the finca are flocks of sheep and goats being moved by shepherds. We recommend hiring a car from the airport (details on request) so you can tour the ever-changing countryside around us. Hire cars are a reasonable price – simply not paying for an airport taxi would cover a week’s car hire from Malaga and go a long way towards one from Jerez and Seville.
