Our Theatre and Film workshops attract people from all over the world and are inspired by our work with Jacques Lecoq at his 'Ecole International du Theatre' in Paris, and from our own professional experience with different companies as actors and directors. We provide high quality residential training for actors, directors, writers, teachers and students of dramatic art.
The workshops take place in a 16th century farmhouse, which holds accommodation for up to 20 people.
The main barn has been converted into a large studio; this is where most of the workshop sessions happen.
The house is run by a family. Maria Angels, the cook, is well acclaimed by the participants for her excellent cooking. You can be sure of eating delicious home-made Mediterranean food with fresh vegetables from the garden. Her specialty is the casseroles, which always have a special “Maria Angels” touch. She also caters for vegetarians.
Jordi, her husband, offers a welcoming smile, a helping hand when needed and makes sure that everyone is comfortable.
The house also has a swimming pool, which is enjoyed during the breaks on hot days.
All our workshops are residential. This creates a special atmosphere, providing a great opportunity to network, meet others and share experiences.
There are many areas in the house meaning that it’s easy to relax, socialize or rest. The main language spoken at The Actors Space is English and the minimum age to participate is 18 years old.

During your stay a typical day will run like this:
- Breakfast: 8.30 am
- First session: 9.30 – 11 am
- Second session: 11.30 – 1 pm
- Lunch: 1.30pm
- Third session: 3.30 – 5 pm
- Last session: 5.30 – 7 pm
- Dinner: 7.30pm

How to get to The Actors SpaceThe Actors Space is located in the North East of Spain only one-hour north from the Catalan capital Barcelona, and one hour and a half from the coastal town Girona. The nearest town Vic is four miles from the Actors Space.
By Air
Normally participants fly to Barcelona or Girona airport, then from there they take a train or a bus to Vic where we pick them up. For economy flights to Barcelona check with Easyjet or if flying to Girona check with Ryanair
By Train
If you are flying to Barcelona: you will have to get a train from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona Sants Station (the journey lasts 30m. approx. and trains run every half hour); from there take a train to Vic where we will come to pick you up.From Barcelona Sants Station to Vic please see train timetable below

Additional Information
WeatherSummers at the Actors Space are very pleasant. We usually enjoy plenty of sunshine with average temperatures varying between 30 degrees Celsius (max.day temp.) to 20 degrees Celsius (min. night temp.). In hot days participants can enjoy the swimming pool.

The Costa Brava, Pyrenees and Barcelona are within easy reach. Participants who would like to stay on the resting days at the Actors Space are welcome (please note that food is not included).
