Moore Than Walks - Walking Holiday - Ramblers Holidays - Spain - Europe

Moore Than Walks, as featured in the BBC programme Living in the Sun is situated in the heart of the La Marina mountain range approximately forty minutes inland from the coast. We are in an idyllic paradise setting, nestled on the outskirts of the village of Confrides in the Guadalest Valley, with magnificent views of the beautiful scenery.

We offer a range of walks from easy , for the beginner, to challenging and strenuous for the more experienced. Many walks are from our doorstep, however, if walking further afield, a drop off and collection service can be provided. Accompanied walks are also available for a small fee or we can provide maps and routes for those who prefer to walk independently.

Other activities in the area include; road cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing and golf.

The area is renowned for some of the best road cycling in Spain. As with most mountain areas this is an ideal location for challenging mountain biking. The region also offers some of the best rock climbing in Europe for all standards of climbers.

For the motor bike enthusiast, these roads are exciting and popular for both novice and experienced bikers alike. Our accomodation offers secure and safe areas where you can leave or tinker with your bikes.
Whether an artist or photographer this area will excite and stimulate your creativity. The Guadalest valley is also a delight for nature lovers. Numerous wild flowers grow in abundance here including orchids, and the valley is filled with a variety of trees such as almond, cherry, olive, lemon, orange and nisperro. There are many varieties of birds and lucky visitors may even see Eagles soaring.

For relaxation and rest days tha area offers excellent places to explore such as local Moorish villages, where you may like to sample Spanish cuisine (usually served at lunchtime). A visit to Guadalest is a must, it is a unique village perched on top of a hill and famous throughout the region. There are two theme parks in the area, Terra Mitica and Terra Natura. There is also the Jalon Valley, the Safari Park and the Algar Falls to discover, or the coastal regions of Calpe or Altea. However a car would be necessary for further exploration or if you prefer join one of our excursions.
