Please note: World Retreats provides an advertising service rather than a physical product. We operate as an advertising space for third party suppliers (the retreats on our site). This means that the contract for your retreat break is made directly between you and the supplier. This will mean that there are additional terms and conditions governing the contract you enter into with each individual retreat. As such you will be subject to the terms and conditions of the third party supplier who is supplying your retreat holiday.
Responsibility for accuracy and currency of retreat information:
World Retreats can in no way be held responsible for the accuracy or currency of the information contained within the World Retreats website. The retreat details content is the sole responsibility of the owner or agent of the retreat displayed. World Retreats has not confirmed the currency or accuracy of information supplied and therefore holidaymakers are strongly recommended to make their own investigations into the authenticity of any information posted on the World Retreats site. World Retreats are in no way liable for any inaccuracies or misleading statements made in the information provided by the owner or agent of retreats on the website.
Use of the site:
A condition of your continued use of this site is that you agree not to use this site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions or by other applicable laws and regulations. Your continued use of the site also signifies that you indemnify World Retreats from any loss or damage or costs in connection with any breach of these conditions or any other legal obligation by you and your use of, or conduct on the site.
Copyright authorities:
The retreat advertiser or agent represents and warrants that he (a) owns the copyright in the photographic and textual material supplied by him to World Retreats (the Material) or (b) has been authorised by the owner of the copyright in the Material to grant World Retreats permission to use the Material as contemplated below. The advertiser grants World Retreats a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use the Material for promotional purposes (including marketing and public relations material). The advertiser irrevocably and unconditionally indemnifies World Retreats immediately on demand against any cost, loss or liability (including legal costs) which World Retreats may incur by reason of any breach of copyright arising from its use of the Material. The advertiser understands that it may not reproduce photographic or textual material from any part of the World Retreats website without permission from the relevant copyright owner.
Copyright protection:
Material and software on these sites is copyright protected. Other than using it for your own personal use the material may not otherwise be used or copied without the prior written approval of World Retreats or the body who listed that information on the sites.
Changes to site and unavailability of site:
1. We may change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the site at any time, including the availability of any site features, database, or content, where we have legal, commercial or technical reasons to do so. We may also impose limits on certain features or services or restrict your access to parts or the entire Site for similar reasons. World Retreats reserve the right to amend listed adverts, as and when deemed necessary, in order to enhance useability or to ensure that adverts adhere to the World Retreats house style.
2. There may also be times when the site becomes inaccessible as a result of technical difficulties experienced by us or on the Internet. We will, however, use reasonable skill and care to overcome these difficulties where they are within our control. Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee continuous access to the site or any of its specific features.
Liability:
World Retreats does not guarantee that the operation of the web site will be uninterrupted or error free. In no event shall World Retreats become liable to the advertiser for any special, consequential, incidental or indirect damages, including lost profits, however caused, on any theory of liability, including but not limited to product liability.

Multiple retreats:
A retreat advertisement on World Retreats pertains to one retreat only, not multiple retreats. Only one retreat should be represented in an advertisement unless the prior permission has been given to the advertiser. World Retreats reserve the right to amend any property adverts not adhering to this policy. Links to a website promoting more than one retreat are permitted but can only be listed in one location or by one type. If you wish to advertise under more than one location or type additional charges will apply (see pricing and services for more details).
Exchanging retreats:
A retreat advertisement on World Retreats relates to a specific retreat, and this retreat must not be substituted for another by way of changes to the text and photographs unless prior permission has been given to the retreat advertiser. If a retreat advertiser is found to have changed the property being described, World Retreats reserves the right to suspend the advert in question.
Termination of a retreat page:
If World Retreats receives substantiated complaints from any number of site users about a specific Retreat Page misrepresenting the retreat, its surroundings or its services, then we reserve the right to remove the Retreat Page without notice, and retain payment. If an advertiser attempts to enter unsuitable material into the online database, or persistently misuses the on-line systems, World Retreats reserves the right to remove the associated Retreat Page(s) from the web site. Full payment will be retained. World Retreats reserves the right to refuse or remove any Retreat Page from its web site that it considers unsuitable, incomplete or misleading, and will not be liable for any expense in so doing. World Retreats reserves the right to refuse any Retreat Page from its web site where the content fails to meet our minimum requirements. If advertisers wish to have their Retreat Page removed from the web site before the end of their subscription, this will be done as soon as we receive formal notice from the subscriber by email or using the 'contact us' page, quoting their retreat name, password and reason for removal of advert. No refunds will be given.
If a Retreat Owner wishes to cancel a recurring payment they must inform World Retreats at least seven days before the payment is due, either by e-mail or in writing (if in writing please send by recorded delivery). If notice is received at least seven days before a recurring payment is due the payment will be cancelled and the Retreat Page deleted and no further costs will be incurred. If, however, we do not receive notice in the designated time then we reserve the right to take payment and no refund will be given after the event. The Retreat Owner may then choose to keep their Retreat Page 'live' for another year or have their Retreat Page removed (no refund will be given in this instance).
Contactability:
In the interest of maintaining a high level of service to holidaymakers using the site, we require all retreat advertisers are available to respond to enquiries by telephone or email. Should advertisers be unavailable for a period of more than 1 week, we ask them to leave an answer phone message to that effect or set up an out of office response on their email account so that potential holidaymakers are informed. If neither of these options is viable, we ask that advertisers contact us so we can temporarily suspend their advert. We reserve the right to suspend adverts of owners who are unreachable for more than 1 week. In this instance we will send messages by telephone and email asking for the advertiser to request re-activation upon their return.
External links:
World Retreats reserves the right to remove from adverts both email addresses and links to external websites which either do not conform to the guidelines provided, or which the team feel are not appropriate, or act against the interests of the company or its advertisers. The ultimate responsibility and authority for determining the aforementioned rests solely with World Retreats. Should an advertiser add a link or email address without consent, re-add a link or email address after its removal or remove reciprocated links from their website, we reserve the right to cancel their advertising without refund.
Payment details:
When a new retreat is registered on the site payment should be made on that same day. If payment is being made by credit or debit card this can be processed online by Paypal, our online card payment provider. Should an advertiser not have the ability to make payment by card, cheques should be sent on the day of registering a retreat (payable to World Retreats) to: World Retreats Limited, 42 Sunningdale Avenue, Walkerdene, Newcastle Upon Tyne (England). NE6 4DP. If you choose to pay via this option you are requested to notify World Retreats by email that a cheque has been sent and advise of the expected time of arrival. World Retreats reserve the right to remove your retreat advertisement should no notice be given by email or payment is not received within 10 days of you taking out the advertisement.
Refund policy:
World Retreats provides an advertising service rather than a physical product. We offer a 'cooling off period' of seven working days wherein a retreat owner may cancel the requested advertising by email to info@worldretreats.co.uk or by use of the contact us form on the site (stating your retreat name and your advertiser's password). We will then supply a refund less a £10 administration fee and notification by email.
Cancellation Policy:
As World Retreats is only providing advertising on behalf of retreat owners any cancellation or amendment of your retreat break should be made directly through the retreat company your have booked with. Please be aware that because the contract for your retreat break is made directly with the retreat supplier World Retreats has no power or influence over whether or not your retreat break can be cancelled or modified. We accept no liability for disruptions, cancellations or modifications made by the retreat companies listed on our site.
Insurance, Passports and Visas:
As we advertise retreats from around the world we strongly recommend that before you book with any of the retreat companies listed on the World Retreats site that you take out relevant travel, cancellation and personal accident insurance. We also advise that you research fully any visa, passport and inoculation requirements for your retreat break. You are fully responsible for obtaining the relevant documentation and failure to do so is not the responsibility of World Retreats.
Changes to pricing and conditions:
World Retreats reserves the right to change the rates and conditions without notice. Any new rates will be applicable immediately for all new adverts and renewals for both new and existing customers.
