We offer retreat owners a great opportunity to advertise their holidays at an extremely attractive rate. Advertising with World Retreats gives retreat owners a chance to maximise their exposure to clients and manage their bookings direct, meaning no middleman, no commission and no hassle. The World Retreats site boasts high quality design and additional features that allow customers to plan their retreat holiday from start to finish. Each retreat advertiser gets a full page advertisement, together with slots for up to 10 colour photos and a contact form so that booking enquiries can be forwarded to them directly by email. Advertisers can also display other contact information such as e-mail address and telephone numbers plus a free link to their own website (as long as they add a reciprocal link). All retreat holidays then appear in our listings so that holidaymakers can browse to find their dream retreat break. We also obtain significant holidaymaker traffic to each retreat advert page. Advertisers are also provided with a user account and can choose their own password so they can make changes to their advert page whenever they want and as often as they want. Advertising on World Retreats is simple. Just following the steps below:

1. Click on Members Area to begin the sign up process.

2. Fill in your contact details and then press 'continue', making a note of the password so that you can log in to your account at a later stage.

3. You can then choose to enter your retreat details yourself or let us do it for you (for a one off payment of just £20). Select the option that suits you best.

4. Fill in the required sections which includes your retreat name, retreat country and categories, an overview summary (this will appear on the search results page), your main summary, a timetable and pricing section, a travel section and finally any additional information you feel will help to sell your holiday experience to potential customers.

5. You can then add up to 10 photos (be aware that your last image will be the image that appears on the search results page).

6. Next choose a way to pay for your advert and if you’re adding a free link to your website tell us the URL (your website address) where we can find the reciprocal link back to World Retreats.

7. Finally check the shopping basket and make your final payment. Alternatively you can pay by cheque. Use the shopping basket to calculate what is due, then send a cheque payable to ‘World Retreats Limited' to: 42 Sunningdale Avenue, Walkerdene, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE6 4DP, United Kingdom. Please e-mail us through the ‘contact us’ page and let us know that payment is on its way. Please note this payment option will delay your advert going ‘live’. We then aim to review and activate completed adverts within 3 working days - usually adverts are activated within 24 hours (9am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday). A reciprocal link is a two way link (from our website to yours and from your website back to ours). If you’d like to place a link to your website in your retreat advert it’s completely free if you link back to us. If you want to place just a one way link to your site this will cost you £20 which can be added to your shopping basket during the sign up process. [ top ]

Advertisers pay just £125 per annum for their full-page advertisement .We try to make your payment as simple as possible and so there are no extra fees or commissions payable. We are dedicated to raising your retreats profile and try to champion retreat holidays worldwide. We aim to offer a professional, caring and friendly service for everyone placing an advert on World Retreats. We are always looking to improve our service so if you have any feedback or would like to give us advice on how we can make our site work better for you please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Photos should be landscape in format otherwise they will be stretched horizontally to fit the spaces provided. They also must be jpeg files (.jpg ending to the image file). If you are able to set or resize the images we recommend setting them to squares of 250 x 250 pixels as a minimum. The file size should be no greater than 1MB otherwise they will take too long to appear for visitors to your page and will not be uploaded. [ top ]

Yes of course you can. We give all our advertisers the upmost control over the look and feel of their advert. When you register with us at World Retreats you can select your own password. This means you can then log in to your account at any point to upgrade your advertising options, change details, or add and replace photos. To replace a picture, just follow the instructions, remove the images you want to replace and add your new pictures. [ top ]

Paypal provides our payment system. This means we are able to accept payment online by debit/credit card for most of the world's best-known cards. We do not store your payment details on our website. [ top ]

We do offer featured advertising slots on both our home page and each of the search result sections. If you are interested in adding your retreat to a featured slot simply go to the members’ area, sign in and follow the instructions. [ top ]

Due to the high level of retreats we deal with we cannot offer an advert maintenance service. We have invested a lot in building our site making it easy for you to navigate and manage your advert. If you have any technical difficulties with the site however, we are more than happy to help.

Yes, of course you can. All we ask is that you give us at least seven days notice (by e-mail or in writing). Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully for more details. If in any doubt please e-mail and we'd be happy to answer any queries you may have. 

At present World Retreats operate on an invitation only basis. We select, in our opinion, the best retreat breaks and holistic holidays from across the globe. We choose retreats based on a number of factors including location (somewhere inspiring and invigorating), the quality of activites and teaching on offer, good value for money, easy to navigate website (meaning you can find the information you're looking for quickly and easily) and friendly, down to earth organisers who respond quickly to any queries.

We believe that service counts and we want our users to have a relaxing and uplifting holiday, every time. It takes a lot of hard work, patience and dedication to run a truly top class retreat break and, unfortunately, not everyone can do it. We limit the number of retreats we advertise because we don't want our users trawling through 1000's of retreats in every single category, like you may do on other sites. It doesn't make sense for the retreat owner or the customer trying to find that perfect retreat getaway.

Instead we let our users choose from 100's knowing that each one has been hand picked and being sure that whichever one they choose they'll have a memorable, life changing experience with people who really care. We do, however, take recommendations; if you're a retreat owner and think that you fit in with our philosophy please get in touch and see if, by working together, we can promote you more effectively through World Retreats.
